Asha Mevlana is an electric violinist with the Trans Siberian Orchestra who is used to life on tour but wanted a solid place to call home. This incredible tiny house is constructed on foundations but is joined by a mobile music studio on wheels, which also doubles as a practice space as well as performance venue.

Asha’s home is beautiful and spacious. At 40ft, it’s certainly on the larger side of tiny, yet is packed with very clever small space design ideas.

The adjoining mobile music studio is a fantastic addition. Decorated to look like a giant amp, it’s marine speakers allow it to also transform into a performance space for wonderful backyard concerts and also enabling the music studio to be taken on tour and to festivals.

What inspired Canadian musician Dave Carroll to create a tiny house that doubles as a mobile music studio?

Musician’s Incredible Modern Tiny House & Mobile Music Studio

In recent years, the tiny house movement has become increasingly popular as people search for more affordable and sustainable ways of living. However, one musician has taken this concept to the next level by creating a tiny house that doubles as a mobile music studio. The musician’s incredible modern tiny house and mobile music studio is not only inspiring, but it also showcases the possibilities of innovative design and creativity.

The musician, a Canadian artist by the name of Dave Carroll, originally gained fame for his viral music video “United Breaks Guitars,” which chronicles his grievance with United Airlines for breaking his guitar on a flight. Since then, Carroll has become an advocate for the power of music and the ability to connect with people through his work. This passion for music led him to create a unique studio that could travel with him wherever he went.

The tiny house and mobile music studio are built on a custom trailer that measures 8.5 feet by 22 feet. The exterior of the house features black corrugated metal siding, while the interior is bright and open with white walls and natural wood finishes. The house is powered by solar panels, making it completely off-grid and environmentally friendly.

The main living area of the tiny house includes a kitchen, a dining area, and a comfortable seating area. However, it is the back of the house that is truly remarkable. A sliding glass door leads to a private space that functions as both the musician’s bedroom and a state-of-the-art music studio. The studio includes a mixing console, studio monitors, and all the necessary equipment for recording and producing music.

One of the standout features of the design is the soundproofing that ensures the studio is completely isolated from outside noise. The walls contain specialized insulation, and the floors are raised on rubber pads, which helps to prevent sound transmission. This means that the musician can record and produce high-quality music from anywhere, without being disturbed by external noise pollution.

The musician’s incredible modern tiny house and mobile music studio demonstrates the potential of combining two separate lifestyles into one. The tiny house movement has been gaining in popularity in recent years, and this example takes it to the next level by showing how you can incorporate your passions and interests into your living space. By having a mobile music studio, the musician is able to perform and produce music on the road without the need for a permanent location.

Overall, this unique design is both impressive and inspirational. It showcases how sustainable living and innovative design can go hand in hand to create something truly extraordinary. The musician’s incredible modern tiny house and mobile music studio demonstrate the perfect balance between function and aesthetics, proving that anything is possible with a bit of creativity and dedication.
